Senior Affiliate & Influencer Manager (English, German, French or Spanish Fluency Advantage)

The Senior Affiliate & Influencer Manager, Digital Marketing (Affiliate) position is a remote, work-from-home position, as are all positions at Bloomclicks Digital Advertising (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Candidates who live in the following mentioned markets will be considered: North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Some travel may/be required for partner meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.

THE ROLE:

The Senior Affiliate & Influencer Manager will be responsible for managing and growing our network of affiliate partners and influencers, driving performance and engagement.

Bloomclicks seeks a Senior Affiliate & Influencer Manager for one of our top enterprise-level clients. The Senior Affiliate & Influencer Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of multiple partnership and affiliate programs. The ideal candidate will bring 1-4 years of digital marketing or e-commerce experience – partnership and affiliate marketing experience is not required.

The role is full-time with several opportunities for growth into more senior marketing positions. This person will be responsible for affiliate partners/influencers' communications and general account maintenance, including recruitment, newsletters, fraud checks, and standard and ad hoc reporting, including data pulling, data manipulation and insight creation.

The candidate will have superior organization and prioritization skills, exhibiting the ability to identify areas for process improvement and efficiently structure workload. 

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. LEADERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY –Follows the Bloomclicks Way of Client Service Methodology, taking a team-oriented and solutions-oriented approach by collaborating with peers, brainstorming process improvements, and calmly handling complex matters. Is able to accept 360° feedback from all sources, including peers, clients, and partners and is eager to learn from both successes and failures.

  • Participates in firm building when opportunities arise including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, cross-team collaboration, and cultural & social initiatives. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliates and influencers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain top affiliates and influencers.
  • Assist in the development and execution of partnership and affiliate marketing campaigns, including identifying potential partners, creating campaign materials, and monitoring campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop promotional materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for affiliate partners/influencers, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with all partners to provide updates on campaigns, answer questions, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.

2. CLIENT AND AFFILIATE COMMUNICATION -Builds creative yet efficient newsletters to inform partners of promotions, program happenings, and general client updates. Works to understand client’s marketing goals and objectives; develops a relationship with clients and partners at the appropriate level via email and by participating in calls. An effective team communicator; gives clear and timely status updates, asks appropriate questions, and shares information proactively with the team.

3. REPORTING - Uses Excel fluidly as an important tool; has mastered v-lookups and pivot tables.

  • Accurately prepares weekly, quarterly and end-of-year reporting for clients and is able to analyze data and summarize insights & trends to find opportunities and escalate any potential red flags.
  • Tracks and analyzes campaign performance, and metrics, and recommends improvements to maximize client’s goals. Detail-oriented; work is thorough and accurate.
  • Provide regular reporting on affiliate program performance, including tracking and analyzing metrics such as clicks, conversions, and revenue.
  • Use data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization and provide recommendations to clients and internal teams.

4. STRATEGY EXECUTION - Owns and manages client tasks with limited supervision, but calls on needed support and informs the account manager when appropriate.

  • Takes ownership and accountability when tasks are missed.
  • Prioritizes tasks appropriately and asks questions where needed; keeps manager informed of potential delays. Detail-oriented completes all expected tasks without prompting.
  • Proficient in all client tracking platforms used and routinely leverages supporting tools with ease to support client portfolios.

5. PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT -Manages multiple clients/campaigns, maintaining an appropriate and balanced focus on each.

  • Displays consistent organizational skills and the ability to focus on and prioritize tasks based on client objectives.
  • Organizes tasks by priority, creates efficient workflow, and simplifies complex processes.
  • Supports peers proactively and exhibits Excel & Improve mentality to provide supportive feedback and ideas for process & training improvement.
  • Has an excellent understanding of key risks to Bloomclicks and clients and proactively raises areas of concern.

6. Content Creation

  • Develop high-quality, engaging content for affiliate partners, including emails, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with the client's brand, messaging, and values and resonates with target audiences.

7. Research

  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Use research findings to inform strategy and tactics for affiliate programs.

8. Administrative Tasks

  • Perform administrative tasks related to affiliate program management, including tracking partner contracts, managing invoices, and other administrative duties as needed.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

BY 6 MONTHS… you are able to execute the day-to-day operations of multiple affiliate programs, including routine reporting, managing affiliate applications, recruitment list building, and deployment of creative assets.

  • New Pipelines: Identify 30-45 potential affiliate partners and influencers monthly.
  • Active Partnerships: Manage 15-25 active deals at any given time.
  • Converted Partners: Onboard and activate 10-15 new affiliates or influencers each month.
  • Active Affiliates/Influencers: Maintain 20-30 engaged partners monthly.
  • Reactivations: Revive 5-10 dormant partners monthly.
  • Top Performers: Identify and manage the top 15-25% of affiliates for optimized results.
  • Working closely with managers you can maximize the effectiveness of each program and are regularly developing new campaign ideas to present to managers and process improvements.
  • You can draft client and affiliate communications and respond to inquiries and issues with little guidance from managers.
  • Able to monitor all programs regularly for fraud and key risk areas, with no issues being missed, to ensure compliance with each program’s terms and conditions.

By YEAR One… you can troubleshoot account and affiliate issues. 

Regularly developing new campaign ideas to present to managers, you are an integral part of each program you support. 

  • Efficiencies are continuing to be created and you are working closely with the manager as a team to provide excellent client service.
  • You can take on new account responsibilities with guidance from managers. You serve as a thought leader among peers and regularly share learnings within peer groups for greater relationship & firm-building.
  • Account/Senior Account Manager can comfortably coach team members to challenge the status quo to support team growth while coaching and managing poor performance.
  • Clients are being serviced profitably, all deliverables are A calibre, and Net Promoter Scores remain consistent at 8+.

1. Client Revenue:

Agency /Partnerships Performance:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and business development plans to expand in key markets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with advertisers, agencies, and partners.
  • Contributes to overall revenue goal for the Growth & Partnerships department, and the growth of managed clients, through the creation of high potential relationships and optimization of agency/partnerships and other related services, which includes but is not limited to paid placements such as Partnership & Affiliate Management, Influencer Management, Paid Search, Paid Social, Content Marketing, Lead Generation, Mobile Advertising, and SEO, CPA increases and products for reviews.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies with company goals.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnerships.
  • Represent Bloomclicks at industry events and conferences.
  • Performance and Placement Trackers: Consistently updates Growth and Performance department relationship tracker with details on the partnerships they facilitate; updates client-approved placement tracker.

2. Business Development and Publisher Relationships:

  • Proactive Research: Identifies new, high-quality partnerships and/or areas of opportunity based on client needs, and industry evolvement; utilizes resources such as the Pub Dev weekly roundup, SimilarWeb/SMRush or other similar tools.
  • Persuasiveness: Work with partner success managers to successfully recruit high-potential partners to join client programs; explain the value of joining and promoting client programs and/or successfully negotiate paid placement terms and fees.
  • Relationship Fostering and Growth: Manage and nurture existing relationships to maximize revenue opportunities. Has best-in-class interactions and/or relationships with top-performing publishers and has a trusted network of partners on behalf of managed clients.
  • Written and Verbal Communication: Is comfortable with cold emailing; communications are clear, informative, and engaging. Asks relevant questions when speaking to publishers to vet opportunities. Manages day-to-day communication with top publishers in the program (when owning paid placements and optimization). Communication is managed independently 95% of the time.

  • Alignment to Client Strategy and Goals: Participates in Sustainable Product Development (SPD) engagement kickoff call with the client and ongoing calls as needed; asks appropriate questions and has a clear understanding of client goals and KPIs.
  • Creation and Ongoing Ownership of Strategy: Creates plan for recruitment and/or paid placement initiatives that support the client’s program, including an expected timeline for execution.
